Matthew Green


Matthew studied English and History at Nottingham University before converting to law in 2014. He had previously worked at television production firm Fremantle Media, and at Fieldfisher LLP as well as record label Anjunabeats reviewing recording and distribution agreements.

He trained at Mishcon de Reya LLP, having sat in Intellectual Property and Commercial (joint contentious and non-contentious), International Arbitration, Corporate and Real Estate. He worked extensively on a trade mark dispute for a multinational ISP and broadcaster against a US cloud migration firm, as well as for various high fashion brands in the prevention of sales of counterfeit goods, and for a Kenyan Conservation on the implementation of a live stream and virtual reality initiative.

Matthew wrote at length for Mishcon’s website and blog on Intellectual Property and Data Protection issues including Information Commissioner’s Office fines, the introduction of live blocking orders on streaming sites, the impact social media on the sale of counterfeit goods, copyright on Kodi boxes and the McFadden and Sony Music judgment.

He also writes on his music law website having previously written album reviews at university.

Matthew now works at Brandsmiths, a boutique firm specialising in intellectual property, commercial, litigation and corporate advice.

Anand Pandya


After studying History for his undergraduate degree, Anand converted to law and gained experience at US law firms Baker McKenzie and Vinson & Elkins. He subsequently completed his training at BLP (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner) gaining experience in Corporate Tax, Antitrust & Competition (including a secondment to Brussels), Intellectual Property & Data Protection and Commercial, IT & Outsourcing.

He contributed to the International Competition Network (ICN) study into global merger control notification thresholds and requirements. He subsequently attended the ICN annual conference in Singapore as a guest of the US Federal Trade Commission.

Anand was a contributing author to a case study on the impact of technology on millennials in the legal sector published in the April 2017 edition of journal Globe Law and Business – Modern Legal Practice.

Anand now works for a leading NYSE-listed, Fortune Global 500 technology company in their legal team. He divides his time between strategic legal support at a global level and advising on UK client-facing commercial contracts, technology law and data protection.

Alongside Anand’s legal career, he has over a decade of experience in IT consulting having co-founded multiple technology businesses.
